What is the difference between a path, unit and lesson?
What is the difference between a path, unit and lesson?
You might have noticed that your Digital Campus is packed with all sorts of tools and features. But don't worry, we're here to break it down for you in a way that's easy to understand. In this article, we'll explore three important building blocks of your Digital Library and how they fit together:
Paths
Think of paths as the big categories that help organize everything. Imagine you're in a library; paths are like the shelves that hold different kinds of books. They are your starting point when you want to dive into a particular subject or topic. For instance, if you're looking for Grade 8 math resources, you'd find a path like 'Grade 8 Maths Core' or 'Grade 8 Exam Prep' that leads you to the right materials.
Units
Units are like smaller sections within paths. If paths are the shelves, units are the individual books or chapters on those shelves. When you're in a unit, you'll find bite-sized pieces of learning content. Let's say you're interested in algebra for 8th grade math – you'd head to the 'Algebra' unit within the 'Math Core' path. Inside a unit, you'll discover video lessons, practice exercises, and quizzes to help you grasp the material.
Lessons
Now, let's zoom in even further. Lessons are like individual pages in a book. Here, you'll find engaging video lessons that cover a wide range of topics. But that's not all! You'll also find written resources that explain both the theory and practice of the topic you're studying. Lessons are where the real learning happens.
So, to sum it up:
Paths are the big categories.
Units are smaller sections within paths.
Lessons are where you dive deep into the content with videos and written resources.
With this knowledge, you'll be navigating your Digital Library like a pro in no time!
