NBT Study Plan

NBT Study Plan

MAT Green Study Plan  (Over 1 month until your test date)

If you have signed up with over a month to go until your NBT test then you have plenty of time to go through all the content.

Firstly, sit the first mock test and see how you fare. This will give you an idea of what to expect on the day.

Secondly, go through all the content in our learning videos. This is a great way to revise Grade 11 work and reinforce Grade 12 concepts. Set a study plan of a few hours a week to get through all the videos.

Thirdly, do the second mock test in the week leading up to your real NBT test. Doing it a week before means that everything is still fresh in your mind and you are ready for your NBT test. It is also important that you do it in the allocated time to understand the pace that you need to work at in the test.

MAT Amber Study Plan (Less than 1 month until your test date)

There’s still time, don’t stress!

We recommend sitting our first mock test and seeing how you do. Look at your mark and analyse it. Go through the questions you got wrong and make a list of the areas you struggled with.

Now, move on to the learning videos. There might be too many videos to get through before you write your NBT, so focus on the sections that you found the most challenging in the mock test. If you have time for all the content then that’s great - watch it all.

Remember to spare 6 hours to sit the second mock test (3 hours) and go over where you went wrong (3 hours). We recommend doing this during the week before your real NBT so that the content is still fresh in your mind. It is also important that you do it in the allocated time to understand the pace that you need to work at in the test.

MAT Red Study Plan (Less than 1 week until your test date)

We get it, you’re busy and your NBT test date has crept up on you.

Focus your time on going through both mock tests thoroughly and seeing where you went wrong. All the questions have video answers so watch all the videos of the questions you got wrong. If you have tackled both mock tests and still have time, then go back to the video lesson focussing on your weak areas that you identified in the mock tests.

You might want to spend the night before cramming, but it’s shown that a good night’s rest before an exam is essential. Get a good amount of sleep so that you can be fresh on the morning of your NBT.

For all plans

Remember to get a good night’s rest the night before your NBT.  We're rooting for you!

Good luck! 😀
