How to navigate within a library
At first glance libraries may seem overwhelming, but with just a few pointers you'll be well on your way to navigating them effortlessly!
To navigate a library, the first step is to access the library of your choosing (for example, the Maths Library). You can do this from your (1) dashboard, or from the (2) Libraries page on your campus.
(1)
(2)
Once you are inside the library, you will be able to see many resources grouped by
Paths, Units, Lessons and Assessments (for an overview of the difference between these, please feel free to have a look,
here).
There are two main ways to navigate the library - (1) Using the Search library function, and (2) navigating via Paths and Units to the topic your interested in.
(1) To use the Search library function, simply insert the topic you are interested in (for example, algebra), and the search will return numerous helpful resources for you to choose from. You can then either continue to refine your search, or click into the topic of your interest.
(2) The second way to navigate a library is to make use of the Paths and Units to find your topic of interest. For example, let's say we're interested in algebra concepts, specifically relevant to grade 9 core Maths, and even more specifically ratio in algebra. To find this specific topic, we would start at the path level, where we would click into the Grade 09 Maths Core path.
From here, we can then click on the Algebra - Ratio, rate and proportion Unit, where we can find several resources aimed at this specific topic.
